Crafts in the project settings

Page description

On this page you manage the crafts (trades, e.g. electrician, plumbing) your team members can assign to tickets in the project.

You find this page in project settings under the "Crafts" tab. Crafts are a Pro feature and are only available in projects with a Pro or Enterprise subscription.

Who can see and edit this page

The table is visible to everyone with access to project settings. Creating, editing and deleting require the "change project crafts" write permission of your project role. For that a project manager license is required.

Creating a craft

The round plus button in the bottom right opens the create dialog, where you enter a name. The name must be unique within the project.

Effect on others: a new craft is immediately available to all project members in the ticket's "craft" selection field.

Renaming a craft

The pencil icon on a table row lets you change a craft's name. Important restriction: since the craft is only stored as plain text on the ticket (no automatic update of existing tickets), renaming is refused as long as at least one ticket has this craft — with no way to force it. You must first assign a different craft to all affected tickets before you can rename it.

Deleting a craft

The trash icon lets you delete a craft after a confirmation prompt. The same applies here: if the craft is still assigned to at least one ticket, deletion is refused with no way to force it. Reassign all affected tickets to a different craft first before deleting.

Table: columns and settings

The table shows: the craft's name, and the number of tickets currently using it. On the right of each row you find the edit and delete actions.

Changing column settings: click the "⋮" icon (three dots) in the top right of the table and choose "Table settings". There you show/hide columns and adjust their order and width. The same menu also offers "Copy" and "Export".

Storage: these settings are saved locally on your device only and do not affect other project members, or other tables elsewhere in the app.
