Ticket

On this page you manage the ticket types (e.g. "defect", "task", "info") your team members can use to categorize tickets in the project.

You find this page in project settings under the "Types" tab. Ticket types are a Pro feature and are only available in projects with a Pro or Enterprise subscription.

Who can see and edit this page

The table is visible to everyone with access to project settings. Creating, renaming, deleting and setting the default type require the "change project ticket types" write permission of your project role. For that a project manager license is required.

Setting a default ticket type

At the top of the page you choose the default type via a chip — or "no default". This type is automatically pre-filled for newly created tickets, for all project members equally. Existing tickets are not affected.

Creating a ticket type

The round plus button in the bottom right opens the create dialog, where you enter a name. The name must be unique within the project. Unlike ticket layouts, ticket types have no icon and no color — they're purely named categories.

Effect on others: a new type is immediately available to all project members when creating a ticket (restricted by the respective project role's ticket-type permissions).

Renaming a ticket type

The pencil icon on a table row lets you change a type's name. Unlike deleting, renaming is always possible, even if the type is already assigned to tickets. All affected tickets are automatically updated to the new name, and saved views/filters that filter by this type are automatically adjusted too. The rename is therefore immediately and consistently visible to all project members.

Deleting a ticket type

The trash icon lets you delete a type after a confirmation prompt. If the type is still assigned to at least one ticket, deletion is refused — with no way to force it. First assign a different type to all affected tickets (renaming won't do this — you need to change the type on the ticket itself) before you can delete the type.

Table: columns and settings

The table shows: the type's name, and the number of tickets currently using it. Both columns are sortable. On the right of each row you find the edit and delete actions.

Changing column settings: click the "⋮" icon (three dots) in the top right of the table and choose "Table settings". There you show/hide columns and adjust their order and width. The same menu also offers "Copy" and "Export".

Storage: these settings are saved locally on your device only and do not affect other project members, or other tables elsewhere in the app.
