Project profile in the project settings
On the Profile page in project settings you manage your project's basic master data: name, image, status, date ranges, description, and a few project-wide base settings.
Who can see and edit this page
Viewing requires the "project settings" read permission. Editing additionally requires the "change project" write permission — only once both conditions are met are the fields shown as editable; otherwise you only see them as plain text.
Project details
Project name and project image
Tap the project name to edit it inline directly. The "⋮" menu next to the name lets you change the project image or remove it again.
Changes in the name or image are applied immediately for all project members — everywhere in the app where the project is shown (project overview, dashboard, header), the new values appear without anyone needing to reload the page.
Project type and project status
The project type is a freely editable text field. The project status only appears for company projects whose company has defined its own status values (see the "Company – Project Status" article); you select it via chip selection from the company-wide defined statuses. A change takes effect immediately.
Effect on others: the status determines the border color of the project image shown everywhere the project icon appears (project list, overview, dashboard widgets) — for all members, not just you.
Date ranges
Date fields let you set the project start, project end, construction start and construction end. If saving fails, the previously entered value is automatically restored.
Project description
A multi-line text field for notes about the project; links contained in it are automatically recognized as clickable URLs.
Additional fields (company-specific project layout)
If your company has defined its own project layout, additional, freely configured fields appear here (e.g. number, text, list, multi-select, date, date range, person, or a progress bar) — potentially also a field for a customer number or internal reference, if your company has set that up. You edit the layout itself (which fields exist) via the "Edit project layout" menu item in the "⋮" menu, if you have permission; this change affects every project of your company that uses this layout, not just the current one.
Cost center
This field is display-only and cannot be edited here — the assignment is managed in the cost centers of company settings.
Offline availability and project size
A cloud icon shows you this project's sync status on your device and opens the offline settings when clicked; this only affects your own device, not other users. A progress bar shows the storage used relative to your project subscription's limit.
Further actions in the "⋮" menu
Depending on your permissions, you'll also find: create project report, copy project, download project (ZIP archive), archive project, mark the project as a template (or remove that mark), and — admins only — delete project. Some of these functions are restricted depending on the subscription tier.
Project options
Uploaded ticket files editable: determines how long file attachments on tickets can still be edited or deleted after upload — never, 24 hours, or unlimited. This setting applies to all tickets and users of this project.
Plan QR code: enabling this option automatically inserts a QR code when exporting plans to PDF. You choose the position (one of the four corners), the offset in millimeters, and an optional label text; a preview shows you the placement. This setting affects how exported/printed plans look for every user of this project.
Show ticket views: turns the "ticket views" feature on or off project-wide — for all members at once.
Without editing permission, all switches and input fields in this area are disabled.
Other sub-pages of project settings
Besides "Profile", project settings also has other tabs for ticket status, ticket types, ticket layouts, trades, tags and reporting categories — these are not covered by this article.
