Page description

On this page you manage the tags your team members can use to label tickets, plans and files in the project.

You find this page in project settings under the "Tags" tab. Tags are a Pro feature and are only available in projects with a Pro or Enterprise subscription.

Who can see and edit this page

Viewing requires regular access to project settings. Creating, editing and deleting require the "change project tags" write permission of your project role. For that a project manager license is required.

Tags and tag groups

There is no separate management of individual tags and tag groups — every tag consists of a name, a group, and a color. A "group" is simply the set of all tags sharing the same group name and color. When creating a new tag, you type in the group name; if you choose an already existing group name, its color is applied automatically. When editing, you instead pick the group from a list. Each color can only be used by one group.

Creating a tag

The round plus button in the bottom right opens the create dialog: name, group and color are required fields. The tag name must be unique within the project.

Effect on others: a new tag is immediately available to all project members for labeling tickets, plans and files.

Editing a tag

The pencil icon on a table row lets you change a tag's name, group or color. Important restriction: if the tag is already assigned to at least one ticket, plan or file, the change is refused — with no way to force it. You must first remove the tag everywhere before you can edit it.

Deleting a tag

The trash icon lets you delete a tag after a confirmation prompt. The same applies here: if the tag is still assigned to at least one ticket, plan or file, deletion is refused with no way to force it. Remove the tag from all affected items first before deleting it.

Changes to the tag list are distributed immediately to all project members and are available for selection everywhere tags are assigned — on tickets, plans and files. Since editing and deleting are only allowed for unused tags, existing assignments always stay consistent. When copying a project, the adjustments made here are copied along.

Table: columns and settings

The table shows: name, tag group (with a color dot), and "contained in" broken down by tickets, plans and files (each count is live). On the right of each row you find the edit and delete actions.

Changing column settings: click the "⋮" icon (three dots) in the top right of the table and choose "Table settings". There you show/hide columns and adjust their order and width. The same menu also offers "Copy" and "Export".

Storage: these settings are saved locally on your device only and do not affect other project members, or other tables elsewhere in the app.
