User settings

Settings
Page description

On the Settings page you adjust how the app looks and behaves for you personally, and when you get notified. Everything here affects only your own account or your current device — you never change anything for other users.

Note: profile picture, name, email address, password, connected devices/sessions and account deletion are not here, but under "Account".

Display settings

  • Language – sets the language of the app interface.

  • Name format – controls whether names are shown as "first name last name", "last name first name" or "last name, first name". This only affects how you see names — other team members still see your name in their own chosen format.

  • Time format – 24-hour or 12-hour display.

  • Start of week – Monday or Sunday as the first day of the week in calendar views.

  • Appearance/Theme – System, Light or Dark. This choice is only saved locally on this device, not synced with your account — you'll need to set it again on another device.

  • Show calendar weeks – shows or hides calendar week numbers in calendar views.

Camera

  • Camera app (mobile app only) – choose between the system camera and the app's built-in camera. This choice only applies to this device.

  • Open image editor after photo – automatically opens the image editor after taking a photo.

  • Image upload quality – sets the quality level of uploaded photos. This is the only setting on this page with a visible effect on other people: photos you attach to, e.g., tickets or plans are shown to every other project member at the quality level you choose here.

Tickets

  • Cluster markers on the map – groups nearby ticket markers together on the map view.

  • Open tickets in side panel – opens ticket details in a side panel instead of a separate view.

  • Hide ticket thumbnails – hides preview images in ticket lists to make the view more compact.

These three settings only affect your own view of tickets, not that of other users.

Home screen

  • General home screen – sets which view is opened first when the app starts.

  • Project home screen – sets which sub-view is shown first when you open a project.

If your company has booked the time tracking module, additional options are available here. These settings only affect your own navigation behavior.

Notifications

Here you decide which events — triggered by other users or by processes in your projects — you want to be notified about. These settings do not affect other users; they control how you react to their actions.

  • Plans – notification for a new plan version or changed plan details.

  • Tickets – notification for created/changed tickets; once enabled, you can choose more granularly whether you want to be notified for all tickets, or only for tickets where you have a specific role (creator, assignee, watcher, tester), plus an option for "ticket opened".

  • Files – notification for created/changed files or folders.

  • Time tracking (only shown if your company uses the module) – notification for pending approvals or approved requests.

  • Email notification – choose the email address notifications are sent to (only from your own, already validated addresses), and whether you want to be notified immediately or via a daily summary. If the chosen address isn't validated yet, you can resend the confirmation email.

  • Push notification – turns push notifications on or off for this device (depending on your operating system's permission). You also see a list of your other devices with an active push registration and can remove them individually.

  • Projects – a "Automatically add new projects" switch, plus a searchable list of all your projects where you decide per project whether you want to be notified.

If you're offline, the notification controls are disabled until the connection is restored.

Shows the currently installed app version. Use "What's new" to open an overview of changes (features, bug fixes) for the current and previous versions. The buttons at the bottom of the page take you to the legal notice (imprint) and to upmesh's status page with information about system availability.
