Synchronization overview
On this page you manage and monitor your device's offline synchronization with the server: current progress, projects available offline, changes not yet sent, and ongoing file uploads.
You can find this page by clicking on your profile picture. Here, you’ll see a menu item labelled ‘Online’, ‘Offline’ or ‘Synchronize’.
Who sees this page
Any logged in user can open this page, there is no special permission for it. All data shown here is stored purely locally on your device and not visible to anyone else. On the web client, the projects section isn't available, offline synchronization is a feature of the mobile app.
Sync now
The button at the top manually starts a synchronization run with the server. This is the same global process that also runs automatically in the background, so it simultaneously updates every other open view in the app, such as ticket lists or time tracking, as soon as new server data arrives.
Projects
Here you see all projects you have enabled for offline use, as individual cards with a status indicator. Filter chips let you narrow the view to All, Available, Syncing, or Error. Clicking a card expands details on tickets, plans, files, and storage used. The three dot menu on a card lets you retry after an error, fully remove this project's offline data, or open the project settings.
In the project settings you decide whether syncing over mobile data is allowed, whether files are synced too, which plans should be available offline, and at what level of detail. Removing a project's offline data or changing the plan selection only affects the storage used on your own device, never other users or server data.
Offline data
This section shows your local queue of changes not yet sent, such as newly created tickets, comments, status changes, or time entries. Each entry shows an understandable description of the action, the affected project, and the timestamp. The three dot menu lets you retry after an error, or discard the change. Important: discarding permanently removes the change from the queue, it is never sent to the server and cannot be restored afterward.
Uploads
This section shows ongoing and waiting file uploads with file name, size, context, and, for an active upload, its speed. The three dot menu lets you prioritize a waiting upload, retry a failed one, open an image preview, jump to the source of the upload, or cancel it.
Connection
Here you set the minimum bandwidth below which the app should work offline, and whether uploads are only allowed over WiFi. These settings only apply to you and this device. A storage overview additionally shows you how much space projects, cache, and temporary files take up on your device; this display reacts immediately when you remove offline data or change your selection elsewhere.
