Holidays in the company settings
On this page you manage public holidays and special rules that reduce your employees' target working hours in time tracking.
You find this page in the company area, in the left-hand menu under the "Time tracking" section, as the entry "Holidays". This menu item only appears if your company uses the time tracking module.
Who can see and edit this page
This page is accessible only to company administrators. Consequently, only company admins can create, edit, delete, assign regions and import data.
Creating or editing a holiday
The round plus button in the bottom right opens, on the web, a menu with "Add holiday" and "Import holidays"; on mobile, the button opens the create dialog directly. The pencil icon on a table row lets you edit an existing holiday. Fields:
Name
Wage type
Date
Type – day or hours
Amount
Annual – switch; when enabled, the holiday repeats every year on the same day without you needing to account for the year in the date.
Importing holidays
"Import holidays" opens a wizard that fetches holidays for the German federal states from an external holiday data source (current and upcoming year). You select one or more states via chips; recurring holidays are automatically detected as "annual". The wizard only shows you holidays that are still missing in your company. Before importing, you set a wage type (required) and choose the regions of your company that the imported holidays should be assigned to. The app remembers your last selected states and wage type locally on your device for the next import.
Changing the region assignment
The globe icon on a table row opens a multi-select of all your company's regions, letting you decide which regions this holiday applies to.
Important effect on other users/pages
A holiday only affects employees whose assigned region matches one of the regions selected here. Employees with no assigned region never get a holiday time credit. This calculation runs live on every query based on the current state of the holiday and its region assignment — so changes also retroactively affect already past periods in the time tracking overview, approvals, and payroll evaluations.
Deleting a holiday
The trash icon lets you delete a holiday after a confirmation prompt. Since the target-hours calculation always runs live, the corresponding time credit is then also removed retroactively for already recorded periods of the affected employees.
Table: columns, sorting and settings
The table shows: name, wage type, date, type (day/hours), amount, annual (yes/no), and the assigned regions (comma-separated). All columns are sortable, and the default sort is by name, ascending.
Changing column settings: click the "⋮" icon (three dots) in the top right of the table and choose "Table settings". There you show/hide columns and adjust their order and width. The same menu also offers "Copy" and "Export".
Storage: these settings are saved locally on your device only and do not affect other admins of your company, or other tables elsewhere in the app.
Relationship to regions
You create regions themselves on the separate "Region" page in the same menu section, where you also assign them to your employees.
