Tags in the company settings
On this page you define company wide tag templates that get copied into new projects of your company as a starting set.
You find this page in the company area, in the left hand menu under the section Templates for projects, as the entry Tags.
What these tags actually are
Important to know: these tags are pure templates, not directly usable company elements. Only when a new project with an Enterprise subscription is created are all tags defined here copied once as a starting set into that project; from then on you manage them independently there (see the separate article on tags in project settings). If you change or delete a company template afterward, this has no retroactive effect on already created projects, their tags remain unchanged. Projects without an Enterprise subscription do not use these templates at all, they start instead with language dependent default tags.
Who can see and edit this page
Only company admins see the list. Creating, editing and deleting are reserved exclusively for them.
Tags and tag groups
There is no separate management of tags and tag groups; every tag consists of a name, a group and a color. A group is simply the set of all tags sharing the same group name and color. When creating a tag, you type in the group name, choosing an already existing name applies its color automatically. When editing, you instead pick the group from a list. Each color can only be used by one group.
Creating a tag
The round plus button in the bottom right opens, on the web, a menu with two options: add a single tag template, or import several via Excel. On mobile, the button opens the create dialog directly. Name, group and color are required fields; the name must be unique company wide.
Other company admins see the new template immediately in this list. It only takes effect the next time an Enterprise project is created.
Editing a tag
The pencil icon on a table row lets you change the name, group or color. Unlike tags inside a project, there is no usage check here, since a company template itself is never directly attached to a ticket, plan or file. You can therefore change a template freely at any time.
Deleting a tag
The trash icon removes a template after a confirmation prompt, likewise without any usage check. Project tags already created from this template remain unaffected, since they were taken over as an independent copy at the time the project was created.
Bulk creation via Excel
On the web, the plus button also gives you an Excel import option, with columns for tag name, group and color. A new tag template is created for each row.
Table: columns and settings
The table shows: name and tag group (with a color dot). The default sort is by name, ascending.
Changing column settings: click the three dot icon in the top right of the table and choose Table settings. There you show or hide columns and adjust their order and width. The same menu also offers Copy and Export.
Storage: these settings are saved locally on your device only and do not affect other company admins, or other tables elsewhere in the app.
