Ticket Types in the company settings
On this page you define company wide ticket type templates that get copied into new projects of your company as a starting set.
You find this page in the company area, in the left hand menu under the section Templates for projects, as the entry Ticket types.
What these ticket types actually are
Important to know: these ticket types are pure templates, not directly usable company elements. Only when a new project is created as an Enterprise project are all ticket types defined here copied once as a starting set into that project; from then on you manage them independently there, see the article on ticket types in project settings. If you change or delete a company template afterward, this has no retroactive effect on already created projects, their ticket types remain unchanged. Projects with a Basic or Pro subscription do not use these templates at all, they start instead with language dependent default ticket types.
Who can see and edit this page
This page is only accessible to company admins; every other role is automatically routed to the company profile in the company area and never reaches this page. Creating, editing and deleting are accordingly only possible as an admin, and the permission is additionally checked on the server.
Creating a ticket type
The round plus button in the bottom right opens, on the web, a menu with two options: add a single ticket type, or import several via Excel. On mobile, the button opens the create dialog directly. You only enter a name; it must be unique within your company.
Other company admins see the new template immediately in this list; it only takes effect the next time an Enterprise project is created.
Editing a ticket type
The pencil icon on a table row lets you change the name of a ticket type. Unlike ticket types inside a project, there is no usage check here, since a company template itself is never directly attached to a ticket. You can therefore change a template freely at any time.
Deleting a ticket type
The trash icon removes a template after a confirmation prompt, likewise without any usage check. Project ticket types already created from this template remain unaffected, since they were taken over as an independent copy at the time the project was created.
Bulk creation via Excel
On the web, the plus button also gives you an Excel import option, with one column for the ticket type name. A new ticket type template is created for each row.
Table: columns and settings
The table shows a single column with the ticket type's name, sortable by clicking the column header, the default sort is by name, ascending. Since only this one column exists, there is no column settings menu here to show or hide further columns.
