Time tracking

On this page you manage the tasks your employees can assign to a time entry when tracking time (e.g. "assembly" or "driving time"), including a link to wage types for payroll.
You find this page in the company area, in the left-hand menu under the "Time tracking" section, as the entry "Tasks". This menu item only appears if your company uses the time tracking module.

Who can see and edit this page

This page is accessible only to company admins. Ordinary company members can only see the effects of the settings made here on the time tracking page. Consequently, only admins can create, edit and delete entries.

Creating or editing a task

The round plus button in the bottom right opens, on the web, a menu with "Add task" and "Excel"; on mobile, the button opens the create dialog directly. The pencil icon on a table row lets you edit an existing task. Fields:

  • Mark (code) – required, must be unique within your company.

  • Description – required.

  • Task type – required, chosen from the task types defined in your company. This automatically determines whether the task counts as "productive" — there is no separate field for that in the dialog.

  • Wage type – optional.

  • Follow-up wage type 1 / Follow-up wage type 2 – optional, but: follow-up wage type 1 requires a wage type to be set, and follow-up wage type 2 additionally requires follow-up wage type 1 to be set.

  • Active/Inactive – switch, active by default when creating.

Activating/deactivating

Setting a task to inactive removes it immediately from the selection for all employees when they record a new time entry. Existing time entries that reference this task remain unaffected and stay visible/reportable — including in approvals and reports.

Deleting a task

The trash icon lets you delete a task after a confirmation prompt. Deletion is refused with no way to force it if the task is still used in at least one time entry or absence. For tasks you no longer actively need but can't delete due to existing links, deactivating is the appropriate alternative.

Table: columns, sorting and settings

The table shows: mark, description, task type, productive (yes/no, derived from the task type), wage type, follow-up wage type 1, follow-up wage type 2, and status (active/inactive). All columns are sortable, and the default sort is by mark, ascending.

Changing column settings: click the "⋮" icon (three dots) in the top right of the table and choose "Table settings". There you show/hide columns and adjust their order and width. The same menu also offers "Copy" and "Export".

Storage: these settings are saved locally on your device only and do not affect other admins of your company, or other tables elsewhere in the app.

Bulk creation via Excel

On the web, the plus button also gives you an Excel import/export option, with columns for mark, description, type, wage type, follow-up wage type 1/2, and status. Important: the import only creates new tasks — existing tasks are neither updated nor deleted. Faulty rows (e.g. referencing a task type that doesn't exist) are collected and reported at the end; valid rows are still imported regardless.
