Crafts in the company settings
On this page you define company wide craft templates that get copied into new projects of your company as a starting set.
You find this page in the company area, in the left hand menu under the section Templates for projects, as the entry Crafts.
What these crafts actually are
Important to know: these crafts are pure templates, not directly usable company elements. Only when a new project is created as an Enterprise project are all crafts defined here copied once as a starting set into that project; from then on you manage them independently there, see the article on crafts in project settings. If you change or delete a company template afterward, this has no retroactive effect on already created projects, their crafts remain unchanged. Projects with a Basic or Pro subscription do not use these templates at all, they start instead with language dependent default crafts.
Who can see and edit this page
This page is only accessible to company admins; every other role is automatically routed to the company profile in the company area and never reaches this page. Creating, editing and deleting are accordingly only possible as an admin, and the permission is additionally checked on the server.
Creating a craft
The round plus button in the bottom right opens, on the web, a menu with two options: add a single craft, or import several via Excel. On mobile, the button opens the create dialog directly. You only enter a name; it must be unique within your company.
Other company admins see the new template immediately in this list; it only takes effect the next time an Enterprise project is created.
Editing a craft
The pencil icon on a table row lets you change the name of a craft. Unlike crafts inside a project, there is no usage check here, since a company template itself is never directly attached to a ticket. You can therefore change a template freely at any time.
Deleting a craft
The trash icon removes a template after a confirmation prompt, likewise without any usage check. Project crafts already created from this template remain unaffected, since they were taken over as an independent copy at the time the project was created.
Bulk creation via Excel
On the web, the plus button also gives you an Excel import option, with one column for the craft name. A new craft template is created for each row.
Table: columns and settings
The table shows a single column with the craft's name, sortable by clicking the column header, the default sort is by name, ascending.
Changing column settings: click the three dot icon in the top right of the table and choose Table settings. There you adjust the column width. The same menu also offers Copy and Export.
Storage: these settings are saved locally on your device only and do not affect other company admins, or other tables elsewhere in the app.
