Extra Pay in the company settings
On this page you manage company-wide extra pay types (e.g. night shift allowance, hazard pay, mileage allowance) that your employees can assign to a booking during time tracking.
You find this page in the company area, in the left-hand menu under the "Time tracking" section, as the entry "Extra pay". This menu item only appears if your company uses the time tracking module.
Who can see and edit this page
This page is only accessible to company admins; every other role is automatically routed to the company profile and never reaches this page. Creating, editing and deleting are accordingly only possible as an admin, and the permission is additionally checked on the server.
Creating or editing an extra pay type
The round plus button in the bottom right opens the create dialog; the pencil icon on a table row lets you edit an existing extra pay type. Fields:
Mark (code) – required, max. 20 characters, must be unique within your company.
Description – optional.
Wage type – optional free text for payroll.
Field type – "no field", "number" or "duration". Determines whether your employees additionally enter a value when booking this extra pay.
For field type "number", additionally: unit, minimum and maximum value, number of decimal places, and the number format (e.g. 1,000.00 or 1.000,00).
Once a day – switch, limits this extra pay to one booking per day and employee.
Effect on other users/pages
Changes to the name, field type or field settings take effect immediately for everyone who sees this extra pay type in time tracking, approvals, or reports — the display always reflects the current state of this definition, not the state at the time of booking.
Deleting an extra pay type
The trash icon lets you delete an extra pay type after a confirmation prompt. Deletion is refused with no way to force it if the extra pay type is already used in at least one time tracking booking. You must first remove those bookings or switch them to a different extra pay type before deletion becomes possible.
Table: columns, sorting and settings
The table shows: mark, description, "once a day" (yes/no), wage type, field type, and — for field type "number" — unit, minimum and maximum value, decimal places, and a sample of the number format. All columns are sortable, and the default sort is by mark, ascending.
Changing column settings: click the "⋮" icon (three dots) in the top right of the table and choose "Table settings". There you show/hide columns and adjust their order and width. The same menu also offers "Copy" and "Export".
Storage: these settings are saved locally on your device only and do not affect other admins of your company, or other tables elsewhere in the app.
