Projects in the company settings

Page description

On the Projects page in the company area you see all of your company's projects — including ones you're not a member of yourself, and archived projects. This is what distinguishes this page from your normal project overview, where you only see the projects you're assigned to.

Who can see and edit this page

This page can only be used by company admins. All other roles cannot operate it; the permission is additionally checked on the server, so it can't be bypassed. You cannot create a project here — that happens in the normal project overview. This page is only for managing existing company projects.

Searching and filtering

Use the search bar to search the list by project name or creator; your search term is stored in the URL and is therefore shareable via link. The filter icon additionally opens a dialog with:

  • Creator – filter via chip selection

  • Project start from date

  • "Show archived" – by default the list hides archived projects; use this switch to make them visible

The filter is not saved permanently and automatically resets when you switch companies.

Table: columns, sorting and settings

The table shows: name, project start, created by, members (number of team members). All columns are sortable, and the default sort is by project name, ascending.

Changing column settings: click the "⋮" icon (three dots) in the top right of the table and choose "Table settings". There you can show or hide columns, reorder them, and adjust their width. The same menu also offers "Copy" and "Export".

Storage: These settings are stored only locally on your device and do not affect other admins in your company or other tables elsewhere in the app.

Opening the team view

For an active (non-archived) project, the team icon on the row opens an overview of the project's members. This view is essentially a read-only view:

  • Member list: you see all current project members in a table with the columns profile photo, name, email, company, role and status (e.g. active/invited). By default the list is sorted by name, ascending; clicking the "Name" column header re-sorts it.

  • Column settings: this table also offers the "⋮" icon in the top right with "Table settings" to show/hide, reorder and resize columns, plus "Copy" and "Export". These settings are saved locally on your device and apply to every team member list in the app in the same way (not specifically only to this company view) — but they don't affect other users.

  • Viewing member details: clicking a row opens a dialog with further information about that member (photo, company, role, contact details, QR code) — purely informational, with no editing option.

  • What is NOT possible here: through this company team view you cannot change another member's role, remove a member, or invite anyone new — these actions are not available here (that's handled by the team management inside the respective project itself).

  • Your own role/access: a separate round button in the bottom right lets you, depending on your own membership in the project, jump directly into the project ("Enter project") or — if you're not yet the project manager there, or not a member at all — raise your own role to "project manager". This only affects your own role as the calling admin, not the roles of other members.

Archiving a project

For an archived project, the corresponding icon on the row opens a dialog with three options: download a ZIP archive of the project data, reactivate the project, or delete it permanently (see below). You can also select multiple projects at once (multi-select) and archive them in one step using the "Archive" icon in the header bar, including a confirmation prompt showing the number of affected projects.

The project remains fully intact in the database — tickets, plans, time tracking and the team all stay unchanged — but it disappears from the normal, active project overview of all members, and regular access to ongoing actions within the project is restricted. It remains visible in this management overview as long as you have "Show archived" enabled.

Reactivating a project

Use "Reactivate" in the archive dialog of an archived project to make it active again. All project members will then see the project again in their normal, active project overview, and regular access is restored. After reactivating, you're automatically navigated into the project.

Deleting a project

Individually via the delete option in the archive dialog, or in bulk via multi-select and the delete icon in the header bar. In both cases you must explicitly confirm the deletion via a checkbox; before that, you can download a ZIP archive of the affected project(s).

Deletion is permanent. The project disappears permanently from every member's project lists, and no one can access this project's tickets, plans or time tracking data through the app afterwards. Downloading the ZIP archive beforehand is the only way to back up this data.
