Regions in the company settings
On this page you manage regions (e.g. federal states) that you assign to your employees to control which public holidays apply to them in time tracking.
You find this page in the company area, in the left-hand menu under the "Time tracking" section, as the entry "Region". This menu item only appears if your company uses the time tracking module.
Who can see and edit this page
This page is only accessible to company admins; every other role is automatically routed to the company profile and never reaches this page. Creating, editing and deleting are accordingly only possible as an admin.
Creating or editing a region
The round plus button in the bottom right opens, on the web, a menu with "Add region" and Excel import; on mobile, the button opens the create dialog directly. The pencil icon on a table row lets you edit an existing region. Fields: name and country.
Bulk creation via Excel
On the web, the plus button also lets you import an Excel file with the columns region and country; a new region is created for each row.
Assigning employees to a region
The wrench icon on a table row opens a multi-select of all company employees, letting you decide who's assigned to this region.
An employee's region determines which public holidays are taken into account for their target-hours calculation. This calculation runs live on every query based on the current assignment, so it also retroactively affects already past periods in the time tracking overview, approvals, and payroll evaluations.
Deleting a region
The trash icon lets you delete a region after a confirmation prompt.
Deleting automatically resets every employee in this region to "no region", and removes the region from all linked holidays. This can silently lead to incorrect (too high) target hours if no holidays apply to these employees afterwards — before deleting, check whether you should assign these employees to a different region first.
Table: columns, sorting and settings
The table shows: region, country, and number of assigned employees. All columns are sortable, and the default sort is by region, ascending.
Changing column settings: click the "⋮" icon (three dots) in the top right of the table and choose "Table settings". There you show/hide columns and adjust their order and width. The same menu also offers "Copy" and "Export".
Storage: these settings are saved locally on your device only and do not affect other admins of your company, or other tables elsewhere in the app.
Relationship to holidays
The actual management of public holidays happens on the separate "Holidays" page in the same menu section. There you assign one or more of the regions created here to each holiday.
